Totally unrelated to the food in Mexico city but does anyone if visiting Puerto Penasco from Mexico city is worth it? I am planning to go there just for whale watching! https://jetlygo.com/blog/whale-watching-puerto-penasco
Quite hidden in the entrance of a hotel. Staff very helpful and friendly. Every dish nicely plated. Fish very good with the puree. Cheesecake was recommended by chef, nice and slightly dense but not sweet. Mexican wine can skip.
Amazing food!! It was over the top, perfect place for good quality food with a twist. The friend I was with is lactose intolerant and allergic to nuts, and they were understandably about it and gave us different recommendations.
On a four day trip to Mexico City, Caracol de Mar was by far the best restaurant we dined at. The food was flavorful and delicious. Both the Battered Tacos and the Al Pastor tacos were delightful. You also need to try the chocolate tamal and the cheesecake for dessert. There was a slight misunderstanding on one order, but the staff fixed it promptly and even left the original dish for us to try for free. Also, if you decide to dine here, hope that you get Alejandro as one of your hosts/servers. He was very polite, friendly, and he provided great menu recommendations that didn’t let us down.
Lovely spot in the Centro Historico. Great place to browse the shops, have a cocktail at the bar or on the roof and eat dinner. Food was excellent. We had a crudo shrimp that was perfectly seasoned with Mexican flavors (Aguachile ) and the whole fish with the two flavor (Pescado a la talla y hojas frescas aliñadas). You choose the fish by its weight. It had lovely light flavors. We also had the merengue dessert, which was excellent. Service was good. Wine menu by the glass is bad.
